Though I decided to take some artistic liberties and adjust the scene appearing in the novel to how I thought the scene would be best visualized in picture form, here is the inspiring excerpt:
The Wolf-rider leaned forward on his massive war horse, his snarling mask lowered until Kara could feel a putrid breath flowing outwards from its mouth. This close Kara could see that the immaculately carved teeth on the helmet were dripping with blood, a solid silver tongue idly flicked outwards to catch errant drops.
The wolf-rider's helmet began to sniff Kara, its cold, wet nose brushing against her forehead as she kneeled, her eyes now shut tightly. From deep within the helmet Kara could hear the rider chuckling deeply, stopping only to speak to her in that bone raking voice of his.
"Do you know how I'd kill you?" it taunted, "I would eat your eyes first, one at a time, so you could see what was happening. Then your arms and legsI once took twelve hours to kill a man that way, eating fingers and toes and hands and feet. Would you like that?"
Tears were now rolling, uncontrollably, down Kara's face.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
